This post was sponsored by OshKosh and I was given money and or product to write this. However all opinions are my own.
This morning I woke up to 20 degree temps and snow on the ground. Winter has officially hit the Northeast! Most complain and cry over the winter months but I welcome them with open arms. I love the chilly temps and snuggling up by a warm fire. Plus lets face it winter fashion is where it’s at. You get to layer pieces and don’t have to worry about sweating to death. Also colder temps mean my beloved holiday season is quickly approaching. With the holiday hustle and bustle your kids are bound to be a little more wild! I mean the days are filled with candy and twinkly lights, I’m wild too! Thanks to Oshkosh these two girls of mine look so stinking cute that if makes the holiday madness in my heart grow even more!
The holidays also bring about so many fun activities to do with your kiddos from ice skating to the Polar Express, but what do you do during the days that you don’t have packed full of holiday magic? How do you keep your kids from tearing down your Christmas tree and eating all of Santa’s cookies? Well, today I’m going to share 3 of my best ways to keep my kids busy during the holiday season with you.
This may seem crazy to you given our insane temps where I live but if I don’t let me kids “free range” all madness breaks out! Right now it’s not too terrible that we can’t go outside for a few hours at a time. When winter really hits us hard we just bundle up and brave it for as long as we can. Even if that’s only 20 minutes, the fresh air does my kids so much good. OshKosh always has so many ways to layer up your babes. From snow pants to this adorable little poncho, there is something for every temperature mother nature throws your way!
Give them their own decorations.
Our holiday decor is in full swing and I’m so excited! I go all out for Christmas but I always make sure to add decorations my kids can play with into the mix. We also let them have their own tree and decorate their rooms. Lennon is still a little to young to decorate but she loves her tree!
Books, Books, Books!
My kids are obsessed with books! It’s the one thing that keeps Lennon still and she just stares at the pictures in amazement. I always keep books around but during the Holiday season I bring out a giant bag of books just for that time of the year! Noelle is learning to read and will spend so much time “reading” to her sister. Score!
When it comes to Holiday Fashion I turn to one place.
OshKosh! Their clothes are always so cute but still so practical. I love that I can dress my girls up for any occasion but not have to worry about spending a fortune or the quality not being anything less than amazing.
