I crave a clean home, it’s almost obsessive. I know if I wake up in the morning to a clean house it sets the tone for my entire day. However it hasn’t always been that way! Keeping your house clean is 100% a learned trait, a skill you have to kind of force yourself into making a habit. You may know by now I have the most amazing cleaning lady who comes once a week and does the things I hate to do…yeah I’m looking you hardwood floors. However that sweet girl is about to have a baby so I knew I had to work out a schedule to fit in the tasks that she does to keep our house clean and running smoothly.
I figured I would share with you some of my favorite products that help this busy WAHM of 2 kiddos keep her house top notch and I even have a FREE printable for you guys with a simple cleaning schedule.
Now I am not saying there aren’t days that my entire house is covered in legos and sippy cups. That is mom life. You’ll see that almost everyday on my calendar is the same minus one task. It’s trained me to do the same things daily and find when it works best for me to do them. I typically do the first few in the morning and then rest once the kids are asleep. Each day there is one different task to help spread it all out. If you are just starting out though then you might want to do a deep clean or even hire someone to come in and do it for you.
I get it mama, our days are busy. If we walked behind our kids we would literally be cleaning ALL day long. However with this system I have learned that I can really have a clean home even with these mini tornados I created. I’m not saying clean clean clean, because that is just not fun and you’ll miss the fun mess making moments. Trust me give this schedule a few weeks and you will be so amazed.
Note: If your house is what I like to call a hot mess right this second then see if you can get a babysitter one evening and do a purge. Begin by separating everything in 3 piles: keep, donate, and toss. It makes it a lot easier to get organized and a good purge does wonders for the soul.

This beauty will be your best friend is you have a lot of hardwood and tile floors. The Crosswave sweeps and mops at the same time, hello genius! It cuts down our cleaning time so much that I’m not sure why I waited so long to buy it. The first day it was disgusting to see what came up off the “clean” floors. You can even use this on your area rugs.
The only vacuums you will find in this house are Shark. The suction is perfect for families with pets because it gets up so much. We have animals, kids, and I shed like a mad man and our carpets always look amazing. The other nice this is that it’s really lightweight making it easy to take from floor to floor.
